About the Ningaloo Area:
Location: 1272 kilometres North of Perth
Climate: The Ningaloo area is blessed with a fantastic climate. With no wet season it is dry and warm all year round. Summer daytime temperatures range from mid to high 30's while a typical winter's day reaches around 25 degrees. Water temperatures vary from 18-28 degrees. Wind conditions are consistent between September to February with accessible beached on both the East and West side of the peninsula. Perfect Kite & Board weather.

Exmouth:
Exmouth is a two and a half hour flight located north of Perth and is situated on the eastern coast of the North West Cape of Western Australia. Exmouth serves as the gateway the Ningaloo Marine Park and the Cape Range National Park making it a versatile and very popular holiday destination. From Exmouth you can explore rugged peaks of the Cape Range, walk on a spectacular white beaches that go on for miles, explore an underwater paradise teeming with life, meet a giant whale shark or simply bask in the glorious year round sunshine.
With the continental shelf only 12kms off the coast, Exmouth offers excellent fishing. You can hire a boat, go on a professional charter or simply fish from the beach.

Cape Range National Park:
Cape Range National Park is located 40 kilometres south from Exmouth and boasts spectacular gorges, an array of wildlife and wildflowers in season.
The Ningaloo Reef:
Ningaloo Reef is not only Western Australia's largest fringing coral reef, but one of the largest reefs worldwide that can be reached just by stepping off the beach. Here the mighty whale shark, the world's largest fish, can be found from March through to June, feeding on coral spawn. Whale sharks are known to appear regularly close to the shore. Other magnificent marine animals that visitors can swim, dive or observe are dugongs, manta rays, dolphins, humpback whales and turtles. Ningaloo also offers safe swimming and snorkeling off the long sandy beaches.
Ningaloo Marine Park stretches from Bundegi Sanctuary in the Exmouth Gulf, around the North West Cape to Amherst Point, 260 kilometres to the south. The park extends 10 nautical miles seaward and encompasses over 5,000 square kilometres of ocean.

Getting there:
Airlines
Skywest Airlines operates daily return flights from Perth to Learmonth Airport, 37 kms from Exmouth and 120 km from Coral Bay. A shuttle bus meets each flight and for a fee you can catch a ride to Exmouth.
Road Access
Travelling from the South of Exmouth along the North West Coastal Highway, drive 152 km north of Carnarvon and turn left at the Minilya Roadhouse - the Exmouth town site is a further 200 km. Travelling from the north , turn off the North West Coastal Highway 110 km south of the Nanutarra Roadhouse onto Burkett Road. From here it's 80 km to Exmouth Minilya Road. At this junction, turn right to Exmouth (89 km).
Coach Services
Greyhound Australia departs daily from Perth to Exmouth and return. The Exmouth Visitor Centre is the booking agent and bus terminal from the company. www.exmouthwa.com.au
